RELAX AND ENJOY SNOWDONIA'S NATURAL BEAUTY
This small family run site is nestled in the foothills of Cader Idris within the Snowdonia National Park and close to the quaint market town of Dolgellau. Bryn Y Gwin Farm offers a number of small intimate areas for caravans, with some streamside pitches, and a seperate streamside location for camping. All set within 40 acres of mixed indigenous broadleaf woodland, with some outstanding individual trees. Spectacular mountain views around every corner creates an atmosphere to remember!
The whole site is open from 1st of March to 31st of October. Site facilities include toilet, shower, Chemical waste point, filtered water, hard standings with and without electric hook ups, a unique on site Firepit BBQ and natural seating areas to enjoy outdoor social get togethers.
Local Attractions include a multitude of scenic walks within the immediate area - highly renowned paths such as the Mawddach Trail, Cader Idris, Torrent Walk, Cregennan Lakes, both New and Old Precipice Walks, etc, along with many quieter ones off the beaten track. Our site is within 15 minutes walking distance to the picturesque market town of Dolgellau; 7 miles from Coed Y Brenin Outdoor Adventure and Mountain bike centre; a short walk from SSSI Wild Flower Meadows; and 8 miles away from the quiet Fairbourne beach or the popular Barmouth beach. The seaside town of Barmouth is well-known for it's sea fishing; scenic harbour; historic half mile railway bridge over the Mawddach estuary; tasty fish and chips etc. Game fishing also available in the area. An area rich in history with numerous sites of interest such as various castles, Cymmer Abbey, Boer War rifle range, Clogau Gold mines, ancient burial cairns etc. We are also on the doorstep of the picturesque Llyn Peninsula which is ideal for a day trip out.
